About the Kiwanis Village Society

The Kiwanis Village Society is a registered non-profit housing society that provides affordable housing for low-income seniors. The Society was founded in 1951, building the first units in 1952. Today, the Kiwanis Village Society operates 265 housing units in two locations: Kiwanis Village at Cook Street and Cedar Hill in Victoria and Windward Village in North Saanich.

Kiwanis is a global volunteer organization committed to transforming the lives of children and communities worldwide.

Established on January 18, 1920, Kiwanis Victoria has played a vital role in enhancing and supporting Victoria through various initiatives. These include the Kiwanis Village - Seniors Housing, the Kiwanis Emergency Youth Shelter, the Elementary School Crossing Guard Program, Claremont Key Club, UVic Circle K Club, and the Kiwanis Family Center, among others.
